| In order to understand the current pollution situation and evaluate the potential ecological risks of heavy metals of the sea near China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City, this paper analyzed the content and distribution characteristics of heavy metals including Zn, Pb, Cd, Cu, Hg, As and Cr in surface seawater and sediments of 50 stations near China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City. The comprehensive pollution index method and the potential ecological risk index method were used to evaluate the pollution degree of heavy metals in surface seawater and sediments, respectively. The results show that, for surface seawater, the contents of Cd, Cu, Hg, As and Cr meet the requirements of Class I seawater quality standards, and only Zn and Pb exceed the standard in a few stations. The areas with high distribution of heavy metals in surface seawater mainly appear in the outer Hangu sea area and near the estuary of Yongdingxin River. The water pollution degree of surface seawater at all stations is clean. For surface sediments, the contents of Zn, Pb, Cd, Cu, As and Cr meet the requirements of Class I marine sediment standards, and only Hg exceed the standard in a few stations. The areas with high distribution of heavy metals in surface sediments mainly appear in the estuary of Yongdingxin River and the central sea area. The potential ecological risk of Hg is the largest, followed by Cd, and the risk of other heavy metals is small. Except for a few stations, the potential ecological risk level is slight. Attention should be focused on the control of Hg and Cd in sediment pollutants. |
