In order to reflect the spatial distribution characteristics of petroleum hydrocarbon in sediments from Liaodong Bay objectively and accurately, basing on the geostatistical analysis module of GIS, exploratory data analysis was conducted on the survey data of petroleum hydrocarbon in sediments from Liaodong Bay in 2015. Four interpolation methods including inverse distance weighting, ordinary kriging, regularize spline and tension spline were applied to the spatial interpolation, of which the accuracy was evaluated by cross-checking method. The result indicated that interpolation accuracy of the four methods were as follows: tension spline>regularize spline>inverse distance weighting>ordinary kriging. Spatial distribution trend of petroleum hydrocarbon in sediments can be all simulated by the four interpolation methods objectively, in which the tension spline method had shown the closest results to real measurements in the local areas. So the tension spline method should be the most suitable interpolation method for the data analysis of petroleum hydrocarbon in sediments from Liaodong Bay. |
