Multi-beam bathymetric data have the characteristics of mass and redundancy, which is not conducive to the construction of seabed DEM and Nautical chart production. Therefore, for discrete Multi-beam Bathymetric data, an effective thinning algorithm is particularly important in Multi-beam Bathymetric Data Processing and application. In this paper, the shortcomings of common data thinning algorithms in data processing speed and feature terrain preservation are analyzed.A new thinning algorithm based on TIN is proposed, which can improve the speed of thinning and preserve the seabed topographic features correctly by improving the data processing flow. The experimental results show that the improved thinning algorithm can still maintain a high thinning speed when the amount of data increases, and can accurately retain the characteristics of seabed topography. |
