Multibeam sonar image is one of the main data sources for sediments classification of seabed. Due to the influence of the ocean ambient noise, acoustic scattering, ) signals are obtained by least-square-fitting. Secondly, the residuals correction coefficients of the central and overlapping regions are calculated by fitting function. Finally, residuals are corrected by correction coefficient. The experimental results show that this method can effectively reduce the residual effects on sonar image while retaining the original details. It has reference and application value for image processing of multibeam sonar.reverberation, measuring equipment and other factors, there are still some residual errors in sonar images after each conventional correction. These residual errors are mainly reflected in the central beam area and band overlap area, which makes it difficult to obtain high quality sonar images. In this paper, the causes and effects of multibeam sonar image residual errors were analyzed. A method based on multiband-least-squares-fitting is proposed to deal with the residual errors of multibeam sonar images. Firstly, the fitting functions of the central region, the overlapping region and the overall trend of the adjacent acoustic pulse( |
